Boxer critical after bout
Colon was taken to Inova Fairfax Hospital in North Virginia having reportedly experienced vomiting and dizziness in his dressing room afterwards.
Colon is still not awake and it is said that his condition is stable but critical.
Colon, who was a rising star from Puerto Rico in the super-welterweight division, left the ring under his own power. Updates will be provided when appropriate.
Boxing promoter Lou DiBella called for support for Colon, tweeting, “Everyone in boxing, everyone at MSG, please join me in praying for Prichard Colon, a wonderful young man, and his family”.
“I know you’re concerned about the health of Prichard”.

The fight was marred with controversy after Colon went back to his corner and his team started taking off his gloves because they thought that it was the 10th round and the match was finished.
Colon was undefeated in 16 fights and was favoured against Williams in a semi-main event that was televised by NBC. He was disqualified after the ninth round his corner mistakenly took off his gloves, thinking it was the final round and that the fight was complete.
