Adele will premiere her single, “Hello”, in a video directed by Canadian auteur Xavier Dolan on Friday. She simultaneously released “Hello” and its video less than a week after the announcement.
Award-winning and world-conquering British singer Adele officially ended her hiatus Friday with the debut of her new single “Hello” on The Radio 1 Breakfast Show with Nick Grimshaw.
In the letter Adele wrote about how she always wanted to be older when she was growing up and her regrets over not enjoying her life in the moment.
In 2011, Adele dropped her sophomore album, “21”, which sold more than 11 million copies in the US alone and is the biggest-selling record this decade.
The singer made the announcement with an Instagram post. “If I put an iPhone or a modern vehicle in a movie it feels like I’m making a commercial”, he says. “It was phenomenal what happened with that, but it is a phenomena, so I can’t really include it in any expectations of anything I ever do again”.
“We got on set, slowly she would watch all the takes and I think she saw herself and understood she was quite a credible actor”. What’s done is done.
He’s expected to release a second album soon, so expect to see a lot more of his face popping up all over the place. In the meantime, have a look at the video for “Hello” below.
” “25” is about getting to know who I’ve become without (realizing)”, she said. “I didn’t want to come back with anything that people wouldn’t like”. “Wishing I’d waited and wishing I’d hurried up as well”, she wrote.
“Hello from the other side / I must’ve called a thousand times to tell you / I’m sorry, for everything that I’ve done / But when I call you never seem to be home”, she sings.
