Jimmy Fallon injures right hand while at Harvard for award
For the second time this year, viral-content producing computer algorithm Jimmy Fallon has injured his hand.
On Saturday night, Jimmy Fallon was in Cambridge being honored by Harvard’s renowned humor publication Harvard Lampoon.
Following the fall, the NBC host went to Massachusetts General Hospital to make sure there was no glass in his hand.
The injury was of particular concern since the comedian almost severed a finger on his left hand in June, requiring what his representative called minor surgery. The “Tonight Show” host is the seventh person in the magazine’s 139-year history who has been bestowed the Elmer Award. “He said he was fine”, one witness said. He was later seen in photos partying with a bandaged right hand.
Fallon addressed the situation on social media, writing that the injury was “nothing that a few band aids couldn’t fix”. Previous recipients include Jay Leno, John Cleese and Robin Williams. The festivities included a scheduled parade through Harvard Square in a White Clydesdale adorned Roman Chariot from the Inn at Harvard, to the Lampoon Castle. A fellow partygoer appeared to capture the incident on video and posted it on Instagram.
Fallon had received a humor award from the Harvard Lampoon in Boston earlier Saturday.
