Georgia Tech student who went missing is found alive
Police in Atlanta were still searching Monday for a Georgia Tech student who hasn’t been heard from since he attended a fraternity formal Friday night.
Hubert was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital.
Authorities say 24-year-old James Hubert was last seen late Friday night in the city’s Howell Station neighborhood, west of the university’s campus.
A cell phone video posted online and obtained by WXIA shows dramatic footage of the rescue, revealing that Hubert’s friends initially thought he was dead after seeing him.
Felimina Rotundo works 11 hours day, six days a week at a Buffalo Laundromat and says she has no plans to quit working even though she turned 100 last summer.
On Georgia Tech’s website, Rob Connolly of the school’s police department credited Hubert’s friends who searched for him.
“Due to his injuries, we have not been able to interview Mr. Hubert about the circumstances over the last few days”, Espy said in a statement. Hubert was in the intense care unit with a broken vertebrae, broken ribs, punctured lung, bleeding in his brain and paralysis, his mother Didi Olivia wrote on Facebook.
His friends said his memory of the incident is not yet clear and he has mentioned being attacked by several people and getting hit by a train. “We were about to turn around and then there was a shaded area over in a ditch, and I said, “What ” s that?’” Jeffery said. He left the party, and we think he, he said somebody mugged him.
Hubert is part of a work experience program at Delta.
