Clinton, the former first lady, USA senator and secretary of state, had always been presumed to be the Democrats’ nominee-in-waiting. The same survey showed New Hampshire Democrats saw Mrs. Clinton as the clear victor. But there was more than a standing ovation for Sanders and Clinton.

The second takeaway is that the same pundits who say Hillary won the debate have been saying for weeks that Trump has peaked.
