VK Singhs dog remark: youth congress protests outside BJP headquarters
As a mark of protest, its SC/ST Cell held a candle-light march at Jantar Mantar on Sunday.
Referring to the death of a 15-year-old Dalit under mysterious circumstances in Haryana’s Sonepat, Saurabh Bhardwaj, Secretary of AAP’s Delhi state unit, said that the party does not trust the Haryana government or the Special Investigation Team constituted by it to probe the matter. “He should be arrested and sacked”, Mr Pandey said.
“Incidents of Dalit atrocities on children and adults, rationalist M M Kalburgi’s cold blooded murder, authors returning their awards due to religious and creative intolerance, and hate speech of saffron leaders and Union ministers, including V K Singh”.
The members of Youth Congress, on 25 October, protested outside BJP headquarters in Delhi over the remarks of VK Singh related to killing of Dalits in Sunpedh, Faridabad.
The party has now demanded that a Special Investigation Team (SIT) under the direct supervision of the Punjab and Haryana High Court probe in the case and that the accused policemen be named in the FIR.
Ishwar Singh Guhna, Chandi Ram and Satish Kumar said that the prevailing acts to safe guard the Schedule Castes should be implemented with a strong will to give a message to people of violent mind set that they cannot escape the strong arms of law.
