Redesigned Google Play Store now rolling out to users
A Google spokesperson told us that the Waze team listens to feedback from users and chats with them regularly, which often inspires new features.
What’s more with Marshmallow?
Just almost a month ago, Apple made it possible for users to block ads they don’t want on iPhones and iPads, and content publishers that rely on such ads for revenue are hurt by the development. If you open the “SMS app” option, you’ll see all the apps you can utilize as default for sending / receiving messages.
You can also change the permissions given to apps after the fact, including for apps that have not yet been updated to ask for permissions. There are app exceptions which can bring the device out of Doze mode automatically for example an alarm app can wake up the phone provided it has sufficient battery power.
Tapping the display makes the Android mascot leap – albeit unpredictably – and when you inevitably crash the droid into the scenery, tapping the screen again will relaunch the game.
Better volume control and sharing “Do not disturb” is now straightforward and useful. But Marshmallow has a cavalcade of other features that, taken together, serve to clean up a lot of the annoyances that Android users have had to suffer through.
Given the importance of apps – and the increasing competition in the market – companies need to adopt a holistic, integrated approach to ensure that their apps are found and downloaded by consumers. In general, you will have the most important features in the free version. While a facelift to an app store may not come off as intriguing, much more exciting, it does cleans and organizing things up by a notch to give it a more modern approach that’s fitting in today’s day and age.
A few will be anxious about Now on Tap and its privacy implications. You don’t have to use it. Others will love its instant information access, like Terminator vision for your screen.
We hope that the redesigned Google Play store will become available on our smartphones soon.
With the rise of wearables, it is only sensible that Alphabet realigns its app store to make it more user-friendly.
Additionally, smartphone manufacturers can customize the version of Android that runs on their phones.
