Israeli Soldier Stabbed in Neck Near Hebron
This morning, 22-year old Ra’ed Jaradat was shot and left to bleed to death, after he allegedly stabbed an Israeli soldier in the neck.
“A Palestinian woman acting suspiciously approached border police forces”.
“She presented her backpack to soldiers who proceeded to search it”, Khader said.
“They didn’t ask for ID, they didn’t speak to him, they just shot him”.
Raed Abu Rmileh described the events as follows: “She was at the checkpoint”. She put her bag on the ground and then we heard shooting.
The Palestinian-led global Solidarity Movement spoke out on the issue, stating that it had received similar reports. A total of around eight shots were heard. A suspect was apprehended by security forces a few hours later. He does not have a record with the security forces.
Almost 60 Palestinians have been killed and hundreds of others injured since the Israeli regime began a harsh crackdown in early October on the Palestinians.
Israeli-Palestinian tensions have been climbing as of late.
The two settlements are at the forefront of the settler so-called “price tag” group, which calls for attacks against Palestinians in retaliation for actions of the Israeli government against West Bank settlements.
The farmers were forced to leave their land despite having organized access to their fields through the Palestinian and Israeli liaison offices.
The violence erupted a month ago, triggered by increased visits by far-right Jewish leaders to the Al-Aqsa compound and fears that Israel is plotting to take over the site.
