Pre-Order the New Apple TV Now

Apple will start shipping out the Apple TV’s that are preordered today between October 30 and November. 3, with free shipping available for delivery between November. 2 and November. 4.

The new TV also comes with a redesigned remote with Siri integration for voice search, and you can buy a wrist loop for $13 to use the remote as a game controller.

Pre-orders for the fourth generation Apple TV are now live, priced from £129 for 32GB and £169 for 64GB.

What follows are a few pointers to help you get the most out of your device when it does eventually arrive.

Forget spending time searching for the show or app you want using the directional pad on the old remote or even typing it out on your iPhone. Last week at the WSDJ conference, CEO Tim Cook announced that the new set-top box would be available for sale this week.

A new remote is also thrown into the mix, with an all-new touchpad for slicker navigation and basic game controls.

The improved Apple TV is powered by a more powerful processor and offers more content from Apple and other third party developers. It’s available as an add-on option when you buy your Apple TV, and it’s a lot cheaper than buying a second Apple Siri Remote.

The new Apple TV as shipped includes the set-top box, remote control, a power cord and USB/Lightning cable to charge the remote.
