‘Walking Dead’ Recap: This Cannot Be Good
Or is he still alive?
– I really want to watch the Daryl, Abraham, and Sasha episode next.
Nicholas was actually gradually redeeming himself until he gave up.
Michonne (Danai Gurira) and Glenn (Steven Yeun) are the only competent fighters in the group, so Rick tells them to try to save the others but to keep going if the weak ones slow them down. So far, it’s resulting in a season that has ping-ponged between the group at Alexandria and the others carrying out the safe zone-saving mission.
Maggie is pregnant with Glenn’s child.
Michonne and Glenn’s group make their way out of the forest and out onto a dirt path. The bitten group member tries to keep his mind off his current status by talking to Michonne about his past life. They take refuge in a pet store, where Michonne tells Dr Dre that their only hope of escape is to lead the zombies “away from here”. Of course we know that he’s right, so it’s of little impact when the canon fodder are dispatched one by one. But he is such a man of action that he can’t tear himself away from the passivity of leading the walkers: he wants to be in the thick of the battle. Eventually, the walkers pull the bitten guy down and start devouring him.
Looks like next week we may get a glimpse at what’s been going on with Morgan since we last saw him in the Atlanta outskirts in a super-sized 90-minute episode. He and his wife met after the zombie apocalypse on The Walking Dead. He had been so alone before Aaron found him and then he found Betsy. The guy with the gunshot wound was also getting worse.
Along the way, they make it to another part of town where they find Sturgis’ hat and a few feet away they find him getting gnawed on by a group of zombies. Glenn desperately wanted to get home, though.
He estimates “The Walking Dead” franchise, including the original series, talk show and spinoff show “Fear the Walking Dead“, account for nearly 25% of the AMC channel’s total primetime viewership. Nicholas offers to go with him, and although Glenn is initially hesitant, he agrees to let him show him the way to a old feed store that will catch fire easily.
Run away or forfeit all rights to ignorance. Glenn screams. They pull out intestines, going to town.
Things are no better for Glenn and Nicholas, who find themselves trapped in a dead end as well. It was a awful, risky decision. “We all have a job to do”, he said. Rick seems to have used up whatever goodwill he had left with the Alexandria residents. This episode may have gathered together a lot of clichés, but it did plenty to pump us up for whatever is next. Meanwhile, the others will run back to help protect their home. We don’t leave people behind.
We watched his tortured, blood-spattered face look down in horror as guts and muscle tissue were chomped to pieces above his chest.
Along the way one Alexandrian trips and sprains her ankle just before a pack of zombies appear in the woods looking for dinner. Yes, very unrealistic, but it just goes to show how deep my belief in the plot armor went. Heath tells her he overheard what Rick said. But Michonne tells Heath that things are not that simple and sometimes you have no choice but to leave people behind. Lenika, how do you feel about Glenn’s departure, and the overall plot so far? The noise, though, attracts the walkers outside to the pet shop’s doors. So they had to wait until the Walkers passed.
“Walking Dead” fans lost it. Twitter completely blew up. Rick dispatches of them, but the gunfire may have done a few damage to the RV, because just as the herd closes in, Rick can’t get the vehicle to start.
As Michonne and crew head back to Alexandria, shotgun guy gets bit. There’s confusion and concern among them, but Michonne does her best to calm them. Would that he is, because then, a week later, as the same people gather around the same water coolers, the conversations won’t turn to outrage, namely at the show’s canny, if unmistakably manipulative, displays of misdirection.
Michonne and Glenn’s group continues on despite their losses.
Walkers, wolves, and the winding road home. Also, what’s to stop them from just eating through Nicholas and going right on through to Glenn underneath? It was horrifying. He didn’t even get to deliver his note to his wife on The Walking Dead. Even with Glenn’s bravery training, he hasn’t been able to fully break free of his cowardly past, which makes his suicide when he’s cornered atop a dumpster all the sadder. As soon as Nicholas says “Thank you”, he shoots himself in the head. As he fell, he accidentally knocked Glenn over. And Glenn was ripped apart and eaten. It was so emotional and bloody.
What a fool I am; there are no guarantees on The Walking Dead. This one goes here, that one goes there, Rick gets an RV, what is Daryl doing?
Sasha was pissed because Daryl left. The Wolves that Morgan allowed to escape with a gun attacked the RV and almost killed Rick. “Have you ever been cover in so much blood that you didn’t know if it was yours, or walkers, or your friends?” Here are five questions we want answered after “Thank You”. Is Glenn about to die?
Part of why the Alexandria storyline has succeeded on “The Walking Dead” is because the town’s citizens are, for the most part, good people. It looked like there was no way out. So he already has doubts about Michonne and Glenn’s leadership. Or would he already be dead by then? Are you mad at the producers for killing off Glenn at this point in the story? They manage to find a store to hide in while they patch up Scott and Annie, but Glenn knows something needs to be done. However, the death of Glenn has not been confirmed yet because of how the situation transpired. Who made it out alive and who did we lose? It’s telling that their death scenes are perhaps their most impressive, as each of the Alexandrians seemingly tries to outdo each other for the award of “most excruciating zombie-induced death”. Can she recover from all that? Unfortunately there’s a third man, David, who does end up bitten in the shoulder, but he bravely soldiers on for now, even knowing what’s coming. That’s not to say that they’re not still in danger. Michonne, Heath, and that other guy are still trudging along, Sasha, Abraham and Daryl are still hard at work, and Rick is in a very tough spot. He didn’t make it, but at least he went out honorably. Or is it? We then see walkers approaching the RV from all sides! Last night’s episode opens with an isolated shot of Glenn charging through the woods.
What will happen to the herd of Walkers on “The Walking Dead”? . If they light one of the buildings on fire, that will distract the herd headed for Alexandria. So will they accomplish their goal? Naturally, they meet at a crossroads, which is not a metaphor that is clobbering you over the head or anything. Is Glenn dead? If not, how does he survive?
