Daniel Craig, Lea Seydoux, Christoph Waltz, royals gather for ‘Spectre’ 007
Hundreds of cheering fans greeted Bond actor Daniel Craig upon arrival at London’s Royal Albert Hall, where residents from nearby buildings watched the premiere from their windows.
Other cast members include Andrew Scott, Naomie Harris, Ben Whishaw, Monica Bellucci and Ralph Fiennes.
Willaim’s wife, Kate, added a touch of glamour – if any were needed – to the world premiere of the latest James Bond blockbuster Spectre.
Daniel revealed that he’s not anxious about comparisons to Skyfall’s success: “It’s a really good pressure to have”, he said.
“It’s magic. It’s incredible how James Bond represents so much, not just in England but all over the world”, said Belluci.
“We did something similar for the last Bond film, but that was about three years ago and there are more of us this time”.
Spectre was filmed in England, Italy, Austria, Mexico and Morocco and includes the usual Bond ingredients: high-speed chase scenes, a suave villain, sultry female leads, exciting gadgets and witty one-liners.
She said: “I don’t think so sadly”. I didn’t know which way it was going to be but it was incredibly easy to make – lovely people and it’s one of the best jobs I’ve ever done. “I’m very proud to be here tonight”. Bellucci is Lucia Sciarra, the “beautiful and forbidden widow of an infamous criminal”.
William and Kate crouched down to speak to the boy and his mother Sam Bennett, who worked on the marketing of the movie, said: “William was saying how smart he looked and was asking him where he got his trainers”.
But Harris, who was the first black actress to play Moneypenny, says discussing Bond’s skin color is “missing the point”. “I can’t really believe it. I’m not a Bond girl; I’m a blonde girl!”
Spectre follows the agent as he confronts enemies from his past, including his nemesis Franz Oberhauster, played by double Oscar victor Waltz.
