Glen Rice Jr. Shot in the Leg at TI’s Atlanta Restaurant
Rice tried to leave the scene in a black Porche with one of his group, went to a couple different hospitals, and there had a conversations with a couple police officers, according to the report.
Police eventually pulled Glen over while he was driving away from the restaurant in a Porsche, but they allegedly found 240 grams of marijuana and $6,000 cash in the vehicle.
“There is video footage from the restaurant that shows the altercation on the parking lot, and the male with the red shirt shot at Mr. Glen Rice on the left leg, and the subject left the location as a passenger on a black sedan that was parked on the curve waiting for him”.
Rice Jr. attempted to flee the scene with a friend in a Porsche, but was caught by police after being taken to the hospital. But for much of his college and pro career, he’s been about 6-foot-6, 205 pounds. During the fight, shots were fired and that’s when Rice was apparently shot in the leg.
The man who reportedly picked Glen up from the scene was Stephen Pryor, and it’s not the first time these guys have found themselves in trouble with the law. He was kicked off the Georgia Tech basketball team as a result.
Pryor was arrested and charged with discharge of a firearm while under the influence.
According to Jennifer Brett of the Atlanta Journal Constitution, the police report states there was a verbal altercation that turned violent outside Scales 925 on Sunday night.
A police report indicates that former Georgia Tech and National Basketball Association player Glen Rice Jr., son of National Basketball Association great Glen Rice Sr., was injured and later charged reckless conduct and possession of marijuana.
A second-round pick in 2013, Rice appeared in only 16 games across two seasons with the Washington Wizards.
