Jeb Bush’s presidential campaign is in trouble
None of the changes deal directly with what even many of Bush’s supporters say is his main challenge: the burden of trying to convince voters hungry for change to choose a man whose father and brother both served as president.
Under a headline “fundamentals matter”, the Bush campaign trumpets its grassroots organizing efforts.
“I’ve got a lot of really cool things I could do other than sit around, being miserable, listening to people demonize me and me feeling compelled to demonize them”, he said.
Republicans enjoy using double standards and changing history to make themselves appear as the only true keepers of American citizens.
Few saw Bush’s swoon coming.
Bush and his super PAC have spent vastly more than his GOP rivals on television, but he has yet to be able to move the needle.
Jeb had every reason for confidence. Unfortunately that Force power isn’t rubbing off and he’ll have to resign to the fact that due to his son George W. Bush’s performance, the Bush days of domination are over. It suggests the campaign feels increased pressure to have a strong showing in one of the first four states or risk not being able to remain competitive.
Bush continues to downplay his dissent in the polls, but the numbers do not lie.
The ex-Florida governor has lost ground to Trump, Ben Carson and other “outsider” candidates.
Bush’s failure to catch fire is particularly striking in light of the enormous fundraising lead he once held.
Bush’s main problem is that after a great start at fundraising, raking in $100 million, the flow of money has started to dry up.
Included in the cuts is a reduction in staff at Bush’s Miami headquarters. He said Bush was “losing badly and embarrassing his family”. Bush is a bland, middle-of-the-road establishment candidate at a time when GOP voters prefer extreme right-wing populists who lambaste the establishment. In 1984 Ronald Reagan won 49 of 50 states and captured nearly 60% of the popular vote.
Even supporters are conceding that the contours of this presidential primary are “much different than anything anyone could have forecasted”, a Bush donation bundler told AFP.
In many ways, South Carolina reflects the growing influence of conservatives in the Republican Party over the past half-century. Graham, the South Carolina native, has the advantage of having won three U.S. Senate races in the state.

Bush is a low-key, uncharismatic speaker who lacks inspiration and dynamism on the stump. He has also made odd gaffes, such as defending his brother’s invasion of Iraq only to reverse his position later.
“Jeb is continuing to build and grow his base of support in Georgia”, said Eric Tanenblatt, the leader of the global government affairs team for the Dentons law firm.
Bush is a candidate that boldly supported the defunding of planned parenthood and believes that the funds should be redirected in women’s health organizations.
Bush was on hand for one of Regent’s Presidential Candidate Forums.
“There’s been a new phenomenon in our party: the rise of candidates who have had no practical experience in politics”, Bush said. But most of all, Jeb had awful timing.
Bush echoed the talking points outlined in Friday’s memo about increasing focus on the early primary states, characterizing the restructuring of his campaign as more of a business move than damage control.
He explained his strategy for economic recovery by saying, “people need to work longer hours”.
