‘Dancing with the Stars’ Recap: Scary Team Dances on Halloween Night
This season of Dancing with the Stars has seen its share of iconic dances, but how about those outfits! Alexa PenaVega and Mark Ballas recovered from their lackluster Britney Spears routine with their Edwards Scissorhands themed Paso Doble. We have Team Who You Gonna Call? and Team Nightmare.
Nick Carter and Sharna Burgess (Argentine tango)The dance: The Frankenstein/Bride of Frankenstein performance set to “Bring Me To Life” is a nice touch. It was an wonderful night filled with a few wonderfully epic performances, and three couples even managed to score flawless scores: Andy Grammer & Allison Holker, Bindi Irwin & Derek Hough and Tamar Braxton & Val Chmerkovskiy.
What the judges say: Bruno overpraises Hayes and calls him a “romantic” and “charming” Teen Wolf whose lines are impeccable. Once the individual dances are done, there will be two team dances and these are typically fierce. The dance works the best when all eight team members are dancing together (and all look like professionals), but the misguided opening seconds will probably bring Derek’s streak to an end. The routine earned a ideal score the judges. Viewers are going to see a Viennese waltz for Alek Skarlatos and Lindsay Arnold. The rest of the couples were all in the middle of the pack as before.
As for Alexa and Tamar, it’s too early to read into them being in “jeopardy”. Alexa and Mark both said during the video packages they were anxious about going home this week after having the lowest score last week. Could Hayes and Emma be at risk for elimination at the end of the Week 7 episode though? Please do not read any further if you do not want to know what happened on the show or who was voted off this week.
“DWTS” airs Monday nights at 8 p.m. on ABC.
