OnePlus X could be the stylish budget phone you’re looking for
OnePlus has been teasing their October 29th event for a while now, and a huge “X” on one of the latest teasers suggests that the device will, indeed, be called “OnePlus X“. What we have here is what seems like part of the OnePlus X’s promotional materials, and it puts the pricing at CNY1,699, which translates to around USD$269. It doesn’t line up perfectly with the early Oppomart listing, but it’s close enough to get our attention. It’s set to launch in a few days’ time, and we’ll get the confirmation we need for the specs and all that, but we have here a leaked image for the phone’s pricing – equally important to us all. We’re not expecting the device to cost less than $200, though it probably won’t cost much more than that either.
It looks like the OnePlus X will cost 1699 yuan (roughly $267), though the leaker also mentions a possible cheaper option for 1099 yuan ($173). The filing included a preliminary picture of the device, showing a black handset with what looks to be a metal frame, a rear camera in the top left corner and a Micro USB port. The recent OnePlus 2, on the other hand, had a USB Type-C port and a central rear camera. The bezels along either side also seem nice and thin. It is expected to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor with 3GB RAM and 16GB/32GB of internal storage.
Rumors suggest that the device will bring in a 13 MP rear camera with a Sony sensor and features like Phase Detection Autofocus (PDAF) and Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS).
