Mets Hold Workout in Preparation for World Series

Games 1 and 2 of the World Series will be at Kauffman Stadium while Games 3, 4 and a potential Game 5 will be at Citi Field.

But in the next four-plus games, they’re facing a team that likes to hit the hard stuff.

While the Mets’ young pitching staff is also known for the abilities from behind the plate, the team will have the luxury of using a DH for the first two games of the series as they will take place at Kauffman Stadium, an American League ballpark.

Now, they want the ultimate prize. They’ve had determination from day one of Spring Training.

Despite last year’s post season success, this year’s Royals team began the season without much respect.

“My understanding of the forecast is that we have a challenge early in the day,” commissioner Rob Manfred said Monday.

The Mets will start RHP Matt Harvey in Game 1, followed by RHP Jacob deGrom.

Any other position (and former Tri-City ValleyCats shortstop Ben Zobrist plays a lot of them) and Zobrist would get the nod.
