Daniel Craig: ‘I Don’t Care’ Who Next Bond Is
Daniel Craig, now on his fourth outing as Bond, spent time signing autographs and taking selfies for fans before saying: “I hate watching myself on screen but I love being James Bond”.
But he said of his Spectre return: “It feels very familiar and it’s exciting to be working with friends and people I’ve known now for five years”.
“I nearly was serious when I said it’s modern mythology”.
Mendes, who won an Oscar for “American Beauty” in 1999, said: “We sweated blood over it and I’m really, really thrilled and a little bit relieved”. When asked if she was happy to be a Bond girl, the star said: “It’s a dream come true. I can’t really believe it. I’m not a Bond girl; I’m a blonde girl!” AFP PHOTO / LEON NEALLEON NEAL/AFP/Getty Images British comedian David Walliams (L) and TV presenter Susanna Reid take part in the live broadcast for the world premiere of the new James Bond film “Spectre” at the Royal Albert Hall in London on October 26, 2015.
“It was very hard work, it was long work, but that’s how it should be”.
“Spectre” was filmed in England, Italy, Austria, Mexico and Morocco and includes the usual Bond ingredients: high-speed chase scenes, a suave villain, sultry female leads, exciting gadgets and witty one-liners.
They will be joined by the franchise’s newcomers Andrew Scott, Dave Bautista and Bond girls Lea Seydoux and Monica Bellucci, along with the film’s director Sam Mendes, and producers Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli.
Italian actress and model Monica Bellucci plays Lucia Sciarra, “the lovely and forbidden widow of an infamous criminal”, according to the official synopsis.
Harris, who reprises her role as Eve Moneypenny, admitted the cast are unlikely to mingle with the royals at the film’s afterparty.
Ben added: “We were quite lucky actually, we only booked our tickets a few days ago, but I wanted to see it before I read about it on the internet”.
She added: “This is a premiere unlike any other, it’s huge and fantastic and it’s unbelievable everyone has come out to support the film and they’re so enthusiastic about it, it’s incredible”.
Spectre’s Denbigh loved the movie. And there we were thinking Bond wasn’t a romantic! I didn’t know which way it was going to be but it was incredibly easy to make – lovely people and it’s one of the best jobs I’ve ever done.
The star, who is a very human M, said of Spectre: “Great stunts, it’s very well crafted, it’s brilliantly made”.
