AT&T Data Perks program will give you data for surveys and more
AT&T customers will see offers from these brands, can sign up for trials, purchase products and engage in other activities to get more data. Prepaid and business lines aren’t eligible for Data Perks. Data acquired in the service has a twelve month expiry time and AT&T reserve the right to cancel or amend the service at any time. Twenty-five whole megabytes!
Importantly, AT&T said the data customers transfer from their Data Perks account to an AT&T account will be used before their monthly plan data allowance. Partner offers include tasks such as completing a survey, watching an ad or shopping at a partner store. This isn’t necessarily a bad idea as the data you earn can be used for anything rather than one service or another, and you’re stuck on a capped plan anyway.
The main problem is that it looks like you’re not getting very much data in this deal. Most of the offers are 25 or 50MB, and the larger ones require to you buy or subscribe to something. Additionally, if you change your billing account number (for example, you transfer your billing responsibility to another account in the middle of your bill period), your unused transferred data expires. Customers can rake up to 1GB of data during a single billing period, and all data must be transferred to your AT&T account using the Data Perks app before it becomes available. Even so, it might be worth your time in those times when you’re perilously close to racking up overage fees.
