HTC Re Camera Is Now Only Priced At $50
For $50 this is a very intriguing device. However given how competitive the camera scene is, especially with the likes of GoPro pretty much dominating that particular sector, it doesn’t really come as a surprise to learn that HTC Re wasn’t the hit the company expected. Based on our review, the image quality of the camera was fair at best.
HTC was ambitious when they made a decision to take on GoPro with their HTC Re.
The new 75 percent discount, however, could convince more potential buyers to give the HTC Re Camera a shot.
HTC has launched its periscope-shaped Re Camera a while back, but its $199 price tag didn’t attract too many customers. The HTC Re Camera is available from HTC’s USA online store in several color options: white, blue, orange and teal. 8 aperture, 802.11n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity, a microSD card slot, and various features such as time lapse recording and live streaming to YouTube. You can connect to iOS and Android Apps to control the camera and there are optional accessories you can pick up to increase functionality or for mounting.
HTC cut the price of the Re camera to just $50 from $200, making it one of the least expensive action cameras on the market. Amazon has it for $92 and change with Prime shipping (a little cheaper if going through a third-party seller), and on Best Buy it’s now on sale for $150.
