Minecraft: Story Mode Episode 2 launches today apparently
In an unexpected surprise move, Minecraft: Story Mode’s second episode, Assembly Required, has had a stealth release today to line up with the release of the physical “Season Pass Disc” edition.
“Assembly Required” will be available “starting today”, according to a joint press release issued by developer Telltale Games and license holder Mojang.
The release date for Episode 2: Assembly Required coincides with the news that Minecraft: Story Mode can be purchased at retailers in North America on October 27 and October 30 in Europe. PS Vita and Wii U versions are also now in the works.
The season will feature Patton Oswalt as male Jesse, Catherine Taber as female Jesse, Brian Posehn, Ashley Johnson, Scott Porter, Martha Plimpton, Dave Fennoy, Corey Feldman, Billy West, John Hodgman, and Paul Reubens.
Minecraft: Story Mode – A Telltale Games Series – Season Pass Disc is rated ‘E10+’ (Everyone 10+) for Fantasy Violence and Mild Language by the ESRB.
Destructoid suggest that the game is a decent first effort, but it’s not yet on par with Telltale Games other titles.

Game Informer believes there is something for both Minecraft fans and Telltale Games to enjoy.
Minecraft: Story Mode puts players into the shoes of one of two main characters with a cast of party members to assist them on their journey. Games such as “The Walking Dead” series have left a lot for Minecraft: Story Mode to compete with. They’ve had to be patient, as episode 5 came out in July.
