LSU moves up to No
Although there was only a single match up between ranked teams, there was a lot of movement in this week’s Top 25 coaches poll. And it’s a team that wasn’t in the top five a week ago. Ohio State solidified its hold on the No. 1 ranking following perhaps its most dominant performance of the season to date at Rutgers. The Bears won their seventh game of the season, while the Horned Frogs had their bye week. Baylor, which beat Iowa State on Saturday, lost quarterback Seth Russell for an undetermined amount of time.
LSU moved up to No. 4 in the Associated Press Top 25 released Sunday. They get a week off before a huge SEC West showdown at No. 7 Alabama.
Clemson ascended three spots to No. 3 after its 58-0 blowout win over Miami. Despite the lopsided victory, Clemson stayed in the same spot.
Two new teams have risen into the Top 10. The Tigers were No. 5 last week and moved up to No. 4.
