Pak summons Indian Deputy High Commissioner over ceasefire violations
The Foreign Office spokesperson said intentional targeting of civilians by India is a detestable and deplorable act.
Local media had reported that the anonymous caller threatened to detonate explosives on the property.
Intelligence and law enforcement agencies were informed about the threat and they sprang into action tightening the security around the building.
The continuous breach of Pak-India working boundary in Shakargarh sector by Indian security forces should be stopped, says the motion submitted by PPP MNA’s Shazia Mari, Ayaz Soomro, Beelum Husnain, Ghulam Mustafa Shah and Aijaz Jakhrani.
Pakistan on Monday summoned Indian Deputy High Commissioner to Foreign Office and lodged strong protest over ceasefire violations at the Working Boundary.
Meanwhile, the summoning of the Indian diplomat came even as Pakistan targeted 30 border outposts and several hamlets on Monday with mortar bombs and heavy machine guns in Samba and Kathua districts injuring a civilian, as it continued ceasefire violations for the fourth day.
He said that as a result of the Indian firing three civilians, including a teenage girl, were killed and 23 others injured. However, border troops on both sides occasionally trade fire.
Last month border officials of both countries had agreed in their talks in New Delhi last month to implement the ceasefire.
The cross border shelling and firing from Indian forces resulted in more than two casualties as well as injuries of many Pakistanis over a period of few days, it added.
“The government of Pakistan stressed upon India to stop forthwith the ceasefire violations and respect the 2003 Ceasefire Agreement for restoration of peace and tranquility at the LoC and the Working Boundary”, the statement said.
