Mercedes-AMG GT S To Launch In India On November 24th
The company announced that it will launch 15 new models this year and it has already launched 13 products so far. The flagship Mercedes-AMG GT sportscar which is scheduled to be launched on November 24 will be the 14th auto. Inside the cabin, the AMG GT S gets silver chrome, carbon fibre, black diamond, matte carbon fibre and matt silver fibreglass.
The high(er) performance version of the AMG GT, successor to the hugely successful SLS AMG, is slated to be launched in the country soon.
Motor Trend, through its editor-in-chief Ed Loh, praised the Mercedes-AMG GT for its power, handling, and grip.
Mercedes-Benz US chief executive Stephen Cannon proudly accepted the award and he attributed the success of the vehicle to their employees as well as the Affalterbach team who were primarily responsible in he development of the auto.
That is good enough to propel the vehicle from nought to 100 km/h in just 3.7 seconds, and on to a top speed of 304 km/h, given enough room. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
The 4.0 litre bi-turbo V8 engine made its debut in the AMG GT.
Price of the AMG GT could be well over INR 2.5 crore and it would be rivaling against the Porsche 911 lineup and Jaguar F Type.
The AMG range in India consists of the Mercedes-AMG CLA 45, Mercedes-AMG C 63 S, Mercedes-AMG E 63, Mercedes-AMG S 63, Mercedes-AMG SLK 55, Mercedes-AMG G 63, Mercedes-AMG ML 63, Mercedes-AMG GL 63, Mercedes-AMG GLA 45 and the Mercedes-AMG S 63 Coupe.
