Janet Jackson Postpones Us Tour Dates
Pop-singer Janet Jackson has been told by doctors that she needs to rest her vocal cords.
Jackson postponed two other shows over the weekend: in Salt Lake City on Saturday and in Denver on Sunday.
As of now, the tour will resume as planned on October 27 in Kansas City. Her latest album, Unbreakable, recently debuted on top of the Billboard 200 chart.
Jackson concluded her message by promising her fans that she’s “gon b alright”. However, scheduled dates in Salt Lake City tonight (October 24) and the October 25 date in Denver have been postponed while Jackson undergoes vocal rest. “Please keep posting them”, she wrote. Permitting the use of long clips does present a contractual problem for these projects.
Janet, 49, added that she loves her fans and wouldn’t be where she is today without them and assured them they could still share content from the tour. I hope you understand.
The release states the rescheduled date has not yet been determined, but notes that all original tickets will be honored on that date.
Following the uproar, Jackson promised in a statement that she and her team would “change their approach and allow you to engage socially with these videos”.
