Nexus 5X benchmark bonanza and results compared
As of now all of the Huawei Nexus 6P are out of stock in the Google Play Store, and there is no word as to when new stocks will arrive.
If you are wondering why every company out there is busy releasing one phablet after another, you should know that big phones is where the new battles are, now.
The 5X follows up Google’s extremely successful Nexus 5 from 2013, and features a 5.2-inch full-HD display, fingerprint reader, Android Marshmallow and a 12.3-megapixel camera with “best-in-class” lowlight camera shots. Without wasting time, let’s go! In part, that’s because there’s no Motorola-style “hump” on the back of the new design. Though LG and Google claim the phone’s premium moulded polycarbonate body has a stupendous exterior design, many feel the plastic feels cheap when held. This keeps things fresh for everyone.
Recalling the specs of the Google Nexus 6P, it sports a 5.7-inch QuadHD AMOLED display (with a 518ppi pixel density) with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 protection.
The phones’ fingerprint sensors are on their backs. Google’s latest mobile operating system comes with many new features and improvements.
On the Google Store the prices are the same, but you can get both 16GB or 32GB in any of the three colours, if you’re after a specific combo. The Nexus 6P is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset which has a 64-bit 2.0GHz octa-core processor with Adreno 430GPU along with 3GB of RAM. Despite the concerns regarding heating problems, Google seems to have done well to make sure it is controlled. The new 12-megapixel camera has a f/2.0 aperture, which is wider than the one in the iPhone 6S and has big 1.55um pixels, which will absorb more light.
Android has changed the way we use smartphones. Numbers don’t always reveal the true story. I can’t believe I’m having to confirm that fact here in 2015, but several devices (that we have yet to review) have come up short as of late in the not-quite-solid construction department. The cameras also come with laser auto-focus, which should enable them to them focus on subjects faster. The HTC One A9 has a larger 13MP camera and an UltraPixel 4MP snapper at the front.
The Nexus 6P does not work with a standard micro-USB cord like you’ve had in the past – that day is over.
The 6P comes with 3 GB of RAM and either 32, 64 or 128 GB of internal storage. Both the phones do not support microSD cards.
