Driver Fleeing Police Dies After Crashing Into Lehigh University Bus
A bus carrying the Lehigh University rowing team rests on its top after it collided with a vehicle Tuesday in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. The 20 students on the bus have been transported to local hospitals for medical evaluation, but preliminary reports indicate that there are no serious injuries involving Lehigh students or personnel. One person died on the scene, officials said.
There was one fatality reported involving the other vehicle, she said, but she didn’t have details. State police are trying to find out what caused the accident. “Prelim. reports of no major injuries at this point”. All were being evaluated at hospitals, she said. A bus carrying Lehigh University students flipped over on Tuesday afternoon, killing a driver fleeing from cops.
The accident happened shortly before 6 p.m. on Route 22 near the Schoenersville Road exit in Hanover Township.
