LSU’s Brandon Harris, Malachi Dupre help flooded motorist, diabetic son
What an awesome story, and an admirable act from Harris and Dupre.
The Baton Rouge Tigers moved up two spots after beating Western Kentucky 48-20 Saturday night in Tiger Stadium.
Dupre, a sophomore, is second on the team in receiving yards and first in touchdowns, while Harris is the starting quarterback.
This time around, however, two LSU football players, Malachi Dupre and Brandon Harris, are being given props for helping a mother and her child cope with flood waters, according to Yahoo Sports.
The same Alabama that ruined LSU’s chances of winning a national championship during that terrible night in New Orleans on January 9, 2012.
Miles added he probably would have told them to “stay out of the water”, but he was obviously pleased with their decision to help people in need.
Still, most Tiger fans knew basically what the team would look like. He added that the vehicle was submerged in five to six feet of water when Harris and Dupre arrived.
And what’s additionally intriguing, if not even more so than those backs taking the same field, is that each player will have to face one of the nation’s top 10 rush defenses – with Alabama and LSU ranking, coincidentally, No. 4 and No. 7 in that category, respectively. Fournette burned the Bearkats for 92 rushing yards on 13 carries that day, and the numbers have only gotten bigger for LSU’s star running back.
“J.D. Moore is pushing to play in this game”, Miles said. “Worked out today, and it appears that we’ll have a full slate (of players) come Monday”. White did not practice Tuesday, though. “It was a practice snap and really had nothing to do with anything”, he said.
Almost a year later, Dural said that loss “kind of cut me deep”.
BREAKING TENDENCIES: LSU has scouted Alabama, but it has also been scouting itself.
