LeBron may play in season opener

James missed the final four games of preseason after receiving an anti-inflammatory injection in his lower back.

The Cleveland Cavaliers will end their 45-year wait for an NBA title as long as they have a fit and firing LeBron James in their ranks, insists basketball legend Reggie Miller.

The schedule says that the Chicago Bulls open up the regular season on Tuesday night against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

“I feel good”, a serious James said Monday at Cleveland Clinic Courts.

LeBron James is no longer a lock to play in Tuesday’s season opener because of ongoing back issues, but the Cavs still believe he’ll be ready to play when the season begins.

“Nah, I haven’t gotten to this point by cheating the game”, he said. But if ever, James could be playing less minutes for now, depending on how he holds up just in case he does get fielded in.

“We’re talking about how we can get everybody on the same page, get all our players back, work hard and try to make day-to-day progress”, Blatt said of their mindset heading into the new season.

“I came out pretty quickly in the first quarter because I didn’t play in the preseason and I was gassed”, James, 30, said. Chris Bosh is healthy after suffering blood clots on his lung last season, giving the Heat All-Stars at four positions and a few depth with Amar’e Stoudemire and rookie Justise Winslow. “I think they know that”.

LeBron James is aiming to emulate the fearless approach of his idol Michael Jordan as he prepares for another tilt at glory with the Cleveland Cavaliers following last season’s heartbreak. At 300-1 odds to win the title, the Lakers have more futures tickets written on them than the Cavaliers at the Westgate. The small forward added the biggest key to a successful season will be individual sacrifice for the good of the team.

Still, Atlanta got swept by the Cavaliers in the conference finals, and many doubt that the Hawks can duplicate last season’s magic. It takes a little bit more to beat Western conference teams, although the leading motivational speech line was probably ‘if we had Love and Irving we would have beaten the Warriors.’ That might be true, but dwelling on ifs doesn’t help anyone.
