Halle Berry’s Divorce Petition Invalid?
Actors Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez have announced that they are filing for divorce-but this has led to a lot of speculation.
Her original petition – filed on Monday – may have been ruled invalid because she used aliases and handed her estranged husband the legal papers herself, which is forbidden under Californian law.
And the actress has requested that he be required to get permission if he wants to take their son Maceo, aged two, out of California.
“It is with a heavy heart that we have come to the decision to divorce”, the joint statement read.
Halle filed first, followed nearly immediately by Oliver.
People that he reason for the divorce was Olivier Martinez feeling a bit insecure that Halle Berry was the one bringing home the bacon.
“They had an incredibly passionate bond with one another, but with that comes big highs and lows”, said a source for E! Earlier this year it was also reported that they broke up but quashed rumors when they were seen around Hollywood together multiple times.
Martinez was also said to be depressed at being constantly located in Los Angeles while Berry was working on the TV series “Extant” and overseas promoting her work.
She is sad, very sad. People magazine is reporting that sources close to the couple claim that while both of the stars had fiery personalities, Martinez’s “unpredictable temper” was the last straw for Berry. Ironically, this is exactly what Halle tried to do to her daughter’s baby-daddy. This is the third failed marriage for the actress whose other ex-husbands include David Justice, a baseball player, and Eric Benet, the R&B singer.
They had apparently been fighting over a January incident at Los Angeles worldwide Airport, where Martinez hit airport employee Ronaldo Owens with a auto seat, pushing him to the ground.
