Arkham Knight Returns To PC In A Few Hours
It’s not clear if this is due to Valve or Warner Bros., but it’s somewhat disingenuous either way.
More details will be announced later.
Rocksteady is also developing a free “Community Challenge Pack” for both PC & console, but PC owners will get access a week early, this DLC will release in January.
If Warner Bros. (or Steam) had kept the reviews as they were, anyone who visited the page would suspect the game would run like crap on their PC. As an added bonus, all DLC released up to this point for the game is also available on Steam.
First off, Warner Bros. will be giving away free digital copies of every Batman Arkham game to anyone who purchases Batman: Arkham Knight prior to 11:59pm PDT.
The PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight is back up and available today! This means we will be giving away copies of Batman: Arkham Asylum GOTY, Batman: Arkham City GOTY, Batman: Arkham Origins, and Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate.
It’s not clear if this happened because of how Steam works or if Warner Bros. pulled the trigger, but the publisher finds themselves in an interesting spot. “For Windows 10 users, we’ve found that having at least 12GB of system RAM on a PC allows the game to operate without paging and provides a smoother gameplay experience”. What made the whole thing even worse was that the console version was essentially flawless…meaning that PC players had to sit on the sidelines and watch while everyone else played one of the best games of the year.
Finally, WB says it’s working with Valve and the Team Fortress 2 team for a special cross-game promotion.
The “Community Challenge Pack” DLC. It takes the form of a contest in which the Steam community can submit Arkham-themed items for Team Fortress up through November 16, 2015.
