Netflix Releases Kilgrave Motion Character Poster from MARVEL’S JESSICA
“Haunted by a traumatic past, Jessica Jones uses her gifts as a private eye to find her tormentor before he can harm anyone else in Hell’s Kitchen”.
We’ve been told to expect the first full trailer for Marvel and Netflix’s Jessica Jones series tomorrow (Friday the 23rd of October).
The marketing for Jessica Jones has kept the Purple Man largely under wraps, and that could very well turn out to be a smart play.
The Netflix original series Marvel’s Jessica Jones is the second of four epic live-action adventure series (Marvel’s Daredevil, which launched April 10th, Marvel’s Luke Cage and Marvel’s Iron Fist, all leading up to the teaming of the main characters in Marvel’s The Defenders) to premiere only on Netflix.
Here’s a motion poster for the show, featuring Kilgrave. That would make sense, as Mack provided the covers for Brian Michael Bendis and Mark Gaydos’ Alias, the Marvel series from which Jessica Jones is taking much of its inspiration. A few months ago, Jeph Loeb did tease that Murdock and Jessica Jones do come from the same area, which means fans of both shows will at least see familiar locations, including the police station and more.
However, this one has retired from superheroics and prefers life as a sleuth.
The pic sees our titular heroine (Krysten Ritter) approaching Kilgrave – who appears to be standing on a stage with a mic. Is the despicable villain controlling Jessica? David Tennant will bring the badness, as the evil Purple Man.
