Arizona Cardinals Should Heavily Involve John Brown In Offense
The Arizona Cardinals and Cleveland Browns will face off against one another on Sunday.
For the third straight week, the Browns’ offense was non-existent, and the defense couldn’t come up with the stops it needed to hold onto a fourth-quarter lead as the Browns lost their fourth straight. Coverage of this game will air on FOX beginning at 1:00 pm ET from FirstEnergy Stadium. In the receiving end, John Brown had 65 yards and one touchdown in four receptions while Jermaine Gresham had 62 yards in four catches.
Although Arizona Cardinals running back Andre Ellington struggled through a disappointing season a year ago, he was still expected to be a solid contributor in fantasy football (especially in PPR leagues) as the team’s top back.
The last time the Browns wore orange jerseys was for a home game against the New York Jets on November 21, 2004. Since Larry Fitzgerald will be matched up against Joe Haden, he’ll have a tougher time getting open, although Haden hasn’t been terrific this season. Gary Barnidge had another good outing on Sunday and has proven to be McCown’s favorite target. Tyrann Mathieu and Patrick Peterson will look to keep being dominant and shut down the Browns overrated passing attack.
The Cleveland Browns host the Arizona Cardinals in what looks to be a must win game for the Browns, if they hope to keep their playoff dreams alive.
The Cleveland Browns could use a win after losing four of their last five games. Right now it appears McCown is the starter for the Browns on Sunday. The Arizona Cardinals ground game is averaging 125.6 yards per contest, and Chris Johnson leads the way with 567 yards and three touchdowns.
This matchup could be interesting as the Cardinals are on short rest and have to travel 2,000 miles to Cleveland. They are ranked 28th in total yards allowed, Cardinals on the other hand are ranked second in total offense. Having him back should help to contain the Cardinals. Opposing running backs have racked up 33 receptions for 353 yards and one touchdown against the Browns this year. A lessened role for Crowell is coming, given that he has not been very effective. Look for the Cardinals to try to run the ball early and often.
