Jennifer Lawrence Joins ‘Hunger Games’ Co-Stars in Handprint Ceremony
Washington D.C., November 1: Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth celebrated the last franchise of “The Hunger Games” by participating in a handprint ceremony at the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood.
The IMAX® version of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2 has been digitally re-mastered into the image and sound quality of The IMAX Experience® with proprietary IMAX® DMR (Digital Re-mastering) technology.
“I’m very grateful”, Lawrence shared with the crowd. “I can’t remember your names, I’m just kidding, I know everybody”.
Liam added, “I’m going to say to you guys that I’m honored to share it with you”.
Lawrence, Hemsworth and Hutcherson were all smiles at the ceremony where they bent down on the cemented area to leave the prints of their hands and feet.
Those worrying about a bum-numbing final instalment to the Katniss Everdeen saga need not worry, because – at 137 minutes – Mockingjay – Part 2 is relatively svelte when stacked up against the franchise’s other instalments. “One when we wrapped the film in Berlin and that was kind of saying goodbye to the movie and then I had a moment with my nephews about a year later”, she explained.
Make sure to tune in Thursday night and look out for the special hashtag while watching to win two tickets (including airfare and hotel accommodations) to Los Angeles, Calif., for the big premiere of Mockingjay – Part 2, in theaters November 20. “Thank you for that, when we do these press tours you give us the energy to keep going and this means a lot to all of us”.
