Pakistani actress Mahira Khan poses with ‘Shiv Sainik’ for Halloween, apologises
According to NDTV report Salman Khan said, “If someone wants a Pakistani actor who can portray a role better, nobody can put a constraint. Bollywood has a huge number of fans in Pakistan and earns a good share of income from the neighbouring country”.
Pakistani actress Mahira Khan apologized via a series of tweets for posing in a picture with a man dressed up as a Shiva Sena activist.
Mahira is going to debut opposite Shah Rukh Khan in the upcoming movie Raees.
Early last month, the Sena had succeeded in forcing sponsors to cancel Ghulam Ali’s concerts in both Mumbai and Pune. She went on saying, “The image from a Halloween event I attended has been made out to be something it never was.It was not done intentionally to hurt anybody’s sentiments, neither to make a political statement”.
“Hafiz Saeed and many like him are trying to create a divide between the Muslim community in India and strong steps should be taken to stop it. The politicians should not criticise Khan over the debate of intolerance”, the editorial said. “Love and peace to all”, she said. “If I have hurt anyone’s sentiments with the image at the Halloween, I would like to apologise as that was not what I intended and was unintentional”, she added.
A few days after the declaration, Mahira was clicked at a Halloween party, dressed as Catwoman.
