Valley should see sunny, calm Halloween Day
The National Weather Service said winds could gust up to 30 miles per hour on Thursday, with up to three-quarters of an inch of rain possible Thursday night.
Temperatures are expected to drop into just the 50s in Boston overnight, the weather service said.
Most of Nassau and Suffolk counties can expect warmer-than-normal temperatures through Friday with sunny to partly sunny skies and light winds, the service’s Upton office said. Cloudy skies are expected with a high temperature of about 44. Usually in the beginning of November, temperatures are dropping into the mid-60s at night.
A “big change” – a cold front – will move in as early as Wednesday, Adair said. High near 70 and low near 55.
The sunshine continues on Monday with a high of 55, then a few showers could develop next Tuesday. Highs are forecast to reach 78 in the afternoon before falling to 57 overnight.
Saturday looks to be mostly cloudy with a high near 50 and a low around 35.
The cool down begins Thursday with temperatures in the low 60s and a 70 percent chance of rain.
