Motorola is opening a cool retail shop in Chicago this holiday season
For example, the Moto Shoot set with the Moto X Pure Edition is made to get your picture taken and show off their brilliant 21-megapixel camera. For example the Droid Turbo 2 has a shatterproof display while the Moto X Pure has a water repellent nano-coating. Its sides are protected by a metal frame, while the rear plate is curved and customizable.
In a blog post announcing the store, Motorola promises it won’t be overwhelming (or sending to sleep) visitors with lists of tech specs, but will instead offer a “hands-on, interactive environment with dedicated areas that bring to life our marquee products and device features”. The screen is a TFT LCD measuring 5.43-inch and its resolution is 1440x2560pixels at 541ppi.
For smart watch aficionados, the company said the Moto 360 boutique will offer personalized smart watch shopping and almost all of Moto Maker customization options will be on display for customers to build their own watch. So, will the Moto ShatterShield be a feature that causes smartphone buyers to line up to buy the tougher new handsets in droves or is it just a nice feature that could give Motorola a bit of a leg up on its competitors? The unlocked and SIM-free version of the Moto X Force can be pre-ordered for £499 from Clove, for£497.99 from Handtec, for £499.99 from Expansys, and for £529.99 from Carphone Warehouse. The phone feels pretty comfortable in your hands, having an average weight of 169grams.
The Moto X Force is one of the fastest Android devices, having under its hood the latest Qualcomm MSM8994 Snapdragon 810 octa core processor which is helped by an Adreno 430 GPU and 3GB of RAM. Regarding its internal memory, it’s available in two variants of 32GB and 64GB, which can be increased up to 128GB with a microSD card. It’s good that they’re also releasing it internationally rather than keeping it limited in the US. The Droid Turbo 2/Moto X Force vs Moto X Pure/Style comparison that we’re sharing therefore covers both of these handsets, whichever titles they are carrying. The front cameras are also identical and support 5MP with 1.4um pixels.
In advance of the grand opening, Motorola has shown off what you can expect to find in the first Moto Shop.
