Apple Watch launched in India; Price starting at Rs 30900!
Launched in three variants – Apple Watch Sport, Apple Watch and Apple Watch Edition – and two sizes (38 mm and 42 mm), the device will be available in Gold, Rose Gold, Space Gray, Silver Anodized Aluminium, polished Silver or Space Black stainless steel and 18-Carat Rose Gold and Yellow Gold colour variants.
Apple officially launched its watch in India at a price of Rs 30,900 with watch OS2 ahead of Diwali.
To begin with, the Apple Watch is available in two case sizes a smaller 38 mm one and a larger 42 mm one for those with big wrists. In the 38mm category, Apple has priced Apple Watch Sport with silver aluminium case and white sport band at a starting price of Rs.30,900 and Apple Watch with stainless steel case and white sport band at Rs.48,900. Apple has also recently launched a red colored sport band. The same watch comes for Rs 9.9 lakh in 42 mm.
Apple Watch Edition is the most expensive range from Apple with an 18-carat solid gold case with a variety of strap options. Apple Watch Hermes designer range has not been launched in India.
The various watch straps can also be purchased separately, including those crafted using fluoroelastomer, leather and stainless steel mesh as well as leather loops with in-built magnets that make for convenient swapping.
For instance, the colourful Sport Bands (available in as many as 13 shades) are priced at a steep Rs 3,900 each if someone wants to buy more.
The Apple Watch will be compatible with the iPhone 5, iPhone 5c, iPhone 5s, iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus which runs on iOS 8.2 or later.

However, in case of the Apple Watch, the company has taken its time. It comes in three collections of Sport, Edition and the regular. However, if well received in India, it would be a win-win situation for Apple.
