LG continues Android 6.0 rollout
T-Mobile has three levels to its Android 6.0 Marshmallow handset update process, and these are Manufacturer Development, T-Mobile Testing and Completed.
Also detailed by Google was OpenGL version distribution across active Android devices, with OpenGL 2.0 dropping to 56.6 percent from 57.2 percent last month, and OpenGL 3.0 rising to 38.2 percent from 38.1 percent. LG G4 will be the first in the line to receive the new version, while LG G Flex 2, LG G3 and LG G Stylo will follow shortly after.
As for each version of Android that has been released, it will be installed in priority in the Nexus range – the new handsets (the Nexus 5X and 6P) and older devices (the Nexus 5 and 6 smartphones and Nexus 7 and 9 tablets).
The worldwide variants with model numbers LG-H1818, LG-810 and LG-H815 will get Android 6.0 Marshmallow in the next couple of weeks, as reported by Phone Radar. Meanwhile, Android Lollipop is just about gaining momentum in its popularity and usage, and we have a new entry into the table. However, if you don’t clear out the cache, then it can eventually add up to taking a lot of space on your device. In Marshmallow, the way this works has been simplified slightly: if you go to the Apps entry in Settings, then tap on the cog icon and choose Default Apps on the subsequent screen, you can edit these associations.
Android 6.0 Marshmallow for long has been completely off the list since its launch in September and the chart does not include any versions that commands less than 0.1 per cent marketshare. Over the recent years, LG is not known to be one of the companies to quickly adapt and upgrade their devices to the latest Android platforms.
