Seth Rollins knee injury
– WWE’s United Kingdom tour proved to be a forgettable time for Rollins as he suffered a serious knee injury during the live event in Dublin The show has to go on in any case and he has been replaced by none other than Big Show for the remainder of the tour. The Rollins Reigns match was due to take place at both Survivor Series and TLC, so the title change may well have been booked in December.
The latest WWE rumors on Seth Rollins confirm the worst about his recent injury.
Rollins was to face Roman Reigns at the upcoming Survivor Series PPV on Sunday, November 22nd. TV ratings are nearing all-time lows, and the roster already was depleted before the Rollins injury.
Arguably the finest performer in WWE today, Rollins has enjoyed a phenomenal run since graduating from WWE’s developmental division NXT as part of The Shield. Randy Orton is also out anywhere from four-to-six months with shoulder surgery. But right now, when the company has nothing to lose by mixing things up in earnest, is when they can – and probably will – go for broke. Seth Rollins attempted to powerbomb Kane through a table, but his right knee buckled to the side.
Handing the WWE World Heavyweight Championship belt over to Roman Reigns would nearly seem like a perfunctory gesture at this point.
WWE may want to ask John Cena to postpone his vacation or throw Daniel Bryan back into the ring early.
The 15-time world champion hasn’t been on WWE TV in a few weeks, and he isn’t even scheduled to be on the card at Survivor Series. After that, WWE will have to decide who wins the Survivor Series tournament and rearrange their plans for WrestleMania. The former world champion doesn’t need to win the tournament in order to claim the belt, possibly cashing in at the end of the PPV.
I wrote last month that WWE had done a poor job of creating a new wave of legit main eventers. I expect to see big pushes coming for Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose, with Kevin Owens being their heel counterpart.
