Trevor Noah Returns To ‘The Daily Show’ Tonight “But Can’t Stand Up”
“I feel like there should be two rooms: one for emergencies and another for people who can fill out forms”. He couldn’t exactly fill out the forms necessary.
“Big thank you to everyone”, Noah continued.
“What more information do you need, other than the fact that I’m dying?” he said. “Is it because he’s black?!'” Noah said.
Noah, 31, took over “The Daily Show” on September 28.
The host said he periodically fainted from the pain of a perforated appendix, but the nurse told him he was not allowed to faint in the waiting area and should instead go to triage to lose consciousness. “Tune in 11pm Comedy Central”. “I’m back from the world’s shortest vacation”, he quipped.
‘The best message I got was, “Is it Comedy Central or the cotton fields?”‘ Noah recalled, before bursting out laughing. “Some of you may have heard, I was out yesterday with a touch of emergency appendectomy surgery”. A few hours later, the network said the procedure had gone well.
Comedy Central released a statement on last night’s cancellation: “Trevor Noah underwent an emergency appendectomy early this morning”.
‘As a result, The Daily Show will air an encore tonight’. That’s fine Trevor, you never stand up on the show anyway and we’re just glad you’re healthy enough to be back with new shows!
In place of a new program, viewers would have to be satisfied with a repeat while Noah started his recuperation.
But now the South African comedian had an opportunity to experience the American healthcare system first hand!
