Jimmy Kimmel, Hillary Clinton Ask Kids About Having a Female President: “If”
Appearing on the show Jimmy Kimmel Live, Mrs Clinton told the comedian: “I think he is a terrific campaigner”. Admittedly, the abbreviations FDOTUS, FMOTUS and FGOTUS don’t have that ring that FLOTUS has.
Clinton didn’t yet have that figured out, but she did have a concrete answer to Kimmel’s next question: Yes, she would win if she were running against her husband. He did. Live tweeted it too.
“And yet this poll, this Quinnipiac University poll, that they released today, said that if you ran against him today he would beat you by 10 percent”, Kimmel noted in near disbelief.
“You know, look”, she said, before smiling and letting out a laugh, “It is really hard to do this”.
“I think if there was a war she would probably make it stop so people could be more healthy and they won’t die”, says Sydney.
Clinton didn’t walk away from her appearance on Kimmel’s show with just a conversation with the comedian and host, though!
Don’t be surprised if those “nice things” Republican said end up in a Clinton campaign ad. She hinted we would hear more about them “in the months ahead”.
Kimmel wanted to know if Bill Clinton would pick out the official china pattern for the White House, and a male sidekick dressed in a pantsuit gently ribbed Clinton for her signature wardrobe choice.
After establishing the current president (“Orack Obama”) and how long he has been in office (just two according to Jayden), Kimmel asked the kids if they could name a previous female president.
“Really, I more imagine asking him what is the best way to create more jobs really quickly and get wages up”, Clinton said.
Hillary overdid the soft questions like who would control the remote if husband Bill Clinton became first spouse. The outspoken boy asked her: “Is it hard?”- to which she replied, “It’s really hard”. “The wagon trains are pretty slow!”
