Carly Fiorina Schools ‘View’ Crew Over Feud: Be ‘Honest’
Co-host Paula Faris came to the candidate’s defense, saying that as she did with her clash with Donald Trump, Fiorina was simply “trying to make lemonade out of lemons”.
Carly Fiorina took on the women of “The View” today while answering questions about abortion, maternity leave, and her face.
Whoopi Goldberg waded into the topic by asking Fiorina how she would get a “thicker skin” to “accept a few of the humorous things that will be said” about her.
Carly Fiorina faced off with the ladies of “The View” on Friday, speaking to the women who called her smile “demented” and said that her face was worthy of a Halloween mask parody after the most-recent republican presidential debate.
Fiorina brought up The View’s hosts slamming Trump for making unflattering remarks about Fiorina’s looks and wondered about the double standard. “I make fun of Hillary’s pantsuits, and Hillary’s husband’s sex life, John Boehner’s tan, Ben Carson”.
“I do not understand why any politician should be exempt from my comedic jokes”, Behar said. “We know you took issue with something we said last week – what’s happening girl?”
During last week’s debate, Fiorina curled her upper lip when discussing the need to “cut the bureaucracy” at Hewlett-Packard.
“Oh, so you guys are telling me that you guys are lemons?”
“While I think business strengths are important, I also think having worked in government is an important part of the criteria”, Whitman, who supports New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, recently told CNN. I thought you said I shouldn’t be offended.
“I’ve been called bimbo from the time I was a secretary till I became CEO”, Fiorina assured, adding, “I think we need to have civil conversations in this country about all our differences”.
The back-and-forth between the hosts of “The View” and the presidential candidate began on October 29 when Joy Behar and Michelle Collins ridiculed Fiorina’s appearance.
“Well, first of all, I don’t have people coaching me to act a different way or be a different way”, she said. “But there’s a time to smile and a time to be serious”.
The testy exchange was a far cry from the friendly repartee of Fiorina’s appearance on “The View” in June, which included her declaration that “I’ve been a Whoopi groupie for, like, 20 years”.
Fiorina will be among eight candidates on the stage for the next prime-time debate Tuesday in Milwaukee, Wis. Whether you’re pro-choice or pro-life – I’m pro-life – whether you’re pro-choice or pro-life the majority of Americans are horrified by the reality that we’re harvesting baby parts through late term abortion.
