Windows 10 users are about to get their first big update

Microsoft provides a few background on a new Web page for the service, explaining that the new store is created to make it easier for IT admins to make applications available to company employees, without those apps needing to be submitted to the consumer Windows Store.

One of Cortana’s capabilities that you might not noticed yet is the quick translation feature. However, it will be expanded over the coming months with more features and functionality. After months of internal testing, the Cortana iOS test beta will be open in the United States and China.

The questions are pretty simple such as which iPhone you are using, what version of iOS do you have in your iPhone’s operating system, the frequency of you using Cortana on Windows, and last is the country where you live in. Users who would like to give the iOS version of the virtual assistant app from Microsoft just have to fill out a small questionnaire about the type of iPhone they use, the version of iOS installed on their iPhone, and how they use Cortana now in Windows 10. It’s unclear exactly which features will be available, but support for reminders, event scheduling, daily briefings, and Bing searches seem likely.

While a public beta of Cortana for Android was launched in August, Microsoft has yet to reveal when it plans to release the Android and iOS versions out of beta. This is going to make the differentiation between old style programs and Metro apps a little less jarring and a bit more consistent.

“Your life is not limited to one device, and neither is your digital assistant”, said the company in the post.

A new Windows 10 Build for PCs is out now, and before everything else, Microsoft has gone outright to say that its “fast and smooth”, and that the team has been “loving this build in our internal rings”. As of now, Lumia devices like Lumia 540, 434, 640, 640 XL are expecting the Windows 10 Mobile update shortly. Access will be limited at first and download links will be sent over the coming weeks.

However, it is possible to develop an app dedicated to a specific theme or website using media content (photos, videos etc.) and an RSS feed, for example.
