Watch New Mass Effect: Andromeda Teaser Trailer

Looks like you’re stuck with this casual Mass Effect fan to talk you through the latest Mass Effect Andromeda teaser, which has popped up to celebrate the obnoxious N7 Day. Players will explore the Andromeda galaxy and follow a new hero and cast of characters. Yes, it would have been nice to get one last glimpse of Shepard – in either OG Shep or FemShep form – but that might have broken a few of the immersion. Only time will tell, but BioWare have warned us not to expect too much news on Mass Effect: Andromeda to be revealed today.

That’s the first hint we’ve had of the new protagonist’s name, and the first name overall that we’ve had to go along with the images of the characters we’ve seen so far. “This is Commander Shepard, signing off”. That’s notable in part because BioWare has stressed that Shepard will not be featured in Andromeda. Offering players more choice is something Mass Effect fans have been clamoring for, and with the power of the new current-gen consoles BioWare may finally be able to deliver.

From the looks of it, Jennifer Hale who voiced the female version of Commander Shepard in the original Mass Effect trilogy will once again be lending her voice to the game.

Mass Effect: Andromeda is slated to arrive on PC, Playstation 4 and Xbox One in Fall 2016.
