Palestinian suspected knife attacker killed in West Bank
Eleven Israelis have been killed by Palestinian terrorists, while 58 Palestinians, many of them attackers, also have been killed.
Saturday’s foiled knife attack comes after the funeral late Friday in Jenin of Ahmed Kemil, a Palestinian shot and killed by Israeli forces at the same checkpoint a week ago.
Israel, Jerusalem and the Palestinian territories have been gripped by a surge of violence, with nine Israelis killed in a spate of knifings and shootings this month.

Clashes also erupted in Ramallah where an AFP journalist reported an Israeli army jeep hit a crowd of protesters, injuring a young man.
The Health Minister has reported that 71 Palestinians have been killed, and 921 Palestinians have been shot and injured with live Israeli army rounds, since the beginning of this month, in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, while 855 were shot with rubber-coated steel bullets, and 208 suffered fractures and bruises after being assaulted and beaten by soldiers and fanatic settlers.
“I wanted to say they shoot and then ask questions, but the truth is they shoot and then they fabricate a stabbing story”.
On Friday, Palestinians in Hebron said Israel had announced it would declare the area around the cave compound a “closed military zone” after the weekly Muslim prayers.
The footage showed soldiers pushing back and using a spray on Palestinian medics and trying to reach the Palestinian struck by the jeep. The United States, Israel’s closest ally, has blocked several proposed resolutions. The global community has repeatedly said they are illegal, while the Palestinians see the West Bank as part of their future independent state.
The prosecutor “cautioned that the situation may further degenerate into a large-scale commission of crimes that may fall within the jurisdiction of the ICC”, her office said in a statement.
