Alabama has become the nation’s marquee game
O rage, polarization and regional bias!
Alabama has one loss, and another will put Saban’s team down for the count in the hotly debated College Football Playoff hunt.
“That was other teams”.
Furious partisans, lapdog beat writers and clueless national commentators alike have joined a chorus of outrage over the clear and present bias in favor of SEC teams. The Volunteers should keep things rolling this week against South Carolina.
And you should be, too.
The College Football Playoff rankings are a construct, a myth, a fugazi, a vapor. Jordan Jefferson replaced him and ran well in that game, but never approached the passing numbers of Lee the rest of the season. The interest now extends far beyond the dark waters of the Louisiana bayous and the sleepy riverside hamlet known as Tuscaloosa.
Tuning in will be fans from Columbus to South Bend, from Fort Worth to Palo Alto with blood and self-interest in their eyes.
The Alabama Crimson Tide host the LSU Tigers in a very big rivalry game on Saturday, November 7 start time at 8:00 PM ET, at Bryant-Denny Stadium. So how hype is LSU for this game? Each had at least one run of 10 yards or more.
Undefeated, disrespected No. 7 Michigan State at battered-but-unbowed-well-to-be-honest-pretty-bowed Nebraska.
Watch them all! Draw your own conclusions! Why not add a little more fuel to the fire.
If Richt does hang on, he’ll have to fire a few coaches, offensive coordinator Brian Schotenheimer and Pruitt being top candidates.
Richt felt it was necessary to tweet that Pruitt was still on the staff last Thursday.
Richt needs to win his last four games, finish 9-3, make another trip to the Belk Bowl or somewhere, and try to hang on. Lose to Kentucky, and it’s curtains.
Gloria Pritchett, who has been quarreling with Claire, asks her husband Jay Pritchett while they are driving, “Who’s side are you on?” If that sounds like faint praise, it is.
And they are exciting.
Worse for Alabama, the thing they do best runs right into what LSU does best.
“We thought he was a fabulous player in high school, the No. 1 running back in the country”, continued Saban, who tried to recruit Fournette.
Quarterback Chad Kelly has had an up-and-down year, but when he’s well he’s … heck.
Somehow, though, they seem to be the Rodney Dangerfields of SEC passers. A mid-September loss to Mississippi means every week is another potential elimination game for the Tide. The Gamecocks have hung tough all year, but have not gotten many victories, their loss to Texas A&M last weekend was ideal evidence of that.
Auburn just wants to bring this shot-to-pieces season in for a landing that everybody can walk away from. And in the Bayou, they feel it’s time LSU won again. As many or more could be elite National Football League picks in the next two drafts. Ole Miss 27-24. Harris hasn’t been needed to carry the offense yet this season.
“There is no way you can be a leader without being a really quality participant”, Miles said.
LSU, 7-0.is ranked second and 7-1 Alabama is ranked fourth as the teams meet Saturday night in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
Iowa is at Indiana (4-4) to face a Hoosiers team that has lost four straight. “You can’t let up”, Fournette said.
The Atlantic Coast Conference, Big 12 and Southeastern Conference all have huge games matching playoff contenders.
Ratings, brothers and sisters.
“I don’t have anything to say to her. She’s the one with the problem”.
ETC. We will always remember you fondly, Vontaze Burfict.
Alabama quarterback Jake Coker has passed for 1,623 yards and running back Derrick Henry is the Crimson Tide’s workhorse. The Huskers get quarterback Tommy Armstrong back from injury this week, along with a couple of key defensive backs.
“I think you two need to talk it out”, Phil Dunphy tells his wife Claire on “Modern Family” as they are driving. In a low scoring game, I trust Coker just a tad bit more than an unproven Brandon Harris. Syracuse’s top two running backs rushed for an average of 4.1 yards on 14 carries September 26th.
My Prediction: This game is a toss-up, but it ‘s hard to see Alabama winning the game and taking the spread.
