Lamar Odom might ‘never be the same’ again

Nye County Sheriff Sharon Wehrly secured a search warrant for the blood test on Odom and previously stated that it’s “distinctly possible” that Odom could be prosecuted if he tested positive for cocaine.

Lamar was found unresponsive in a Nevada brothel, the Love Ranch and it was suspected then that he overdosed on cocaine and herbal Viagra.

Former LA Lakers star Lamar is reportedly battling with aspiration pneumonia, which has left permanent scarring on his lungs, and is now undergoing six hours of kidney dialysis a day.

The future continues to look bleak for Lamar Odom – amid fears that he is now in need of a kidney transplant. Kidney transplant is still not being considered, but the source added it may be once he is strong enough. “There will always be lasting effects, and doctors are just trying to minimise them”.

One source told Daily Mail Online: ‘Rob is willing to do whatever it takes to help Lamar recover.

Khloé initially refused to leave Lamar’s bedside after he was found unconscious on October 13, but took a break from her vigil to attend sister Kim Kardashian’s baby shower over the weekend.

It comes after the two prostitutes who raised the alarm after finding Lamar Odom unconscious told police that they heard him snorting an unknown substance while in the brothel.

According to People, a few of Odom’s organs such as his kidneys and lungs have suffered extensive damages.

His estranged wife, Khloe Kardashian, rushed to his side, after hearing about his critical condition, and has been making all the medical decisions on his behalf. Khloe and Lamar’s divorce was reportedly on hold according to CNN amid his recovery following a coma from an apparent drug overdose. TMZ broke the story, Khloe and Lamar both signed off to dismiss the divorce case, which was all but final.

It’s also been reported that former NBA basketball player Lamar is wearing a pair of socks from Rob’s Arthur George range which read “big” on one foot and “daddy” on the other.
