Y. Hilton unlikely to play vs. Broncos
The players are excited about adding Vernon Davis, tight end, to the team in time for Sunday’s game.
Davis has just two touchdowns since then, but from his perspective, there’s a good reason why his production has not matched its 2009-13 apex. “I don’t know what’s going to happen, but I know it’s going to be damn good”. The shortest distance, .18 miles, starts from $25 to make the most convenient trip. No one really excelled.
For a team that has a 2-6 record, I am disappointed that the 49ers did not make any more moves. The Broncos have won seven in a row. The situations could scarcely be more different, and in Davis’ mind, the same is true of the quarterbacks.
“Don’t forget, these guys knocked us out of the playoffs previous year, so don’t sleep on them”, said Wolfe.
“We’re trying to isolate on what we think gives us the best chance with him this weekend, which he’s very comfortable with”, Kubiak said of Davis. They allow 280 yards passing and have only 12 sacks on the season. It s a whole other level.
Now they’ll face an Indy offense that has played so poorly Pep Hamilton lost his job after the Colts’ third straight loss. I just have to get acclimated to it again because it seems like it’s been so long.
“He basically gets to go back and become the all-time winningest quarterback in his old building against his old team”, Broncos linebacker Brandon Marshall said this week. “It’s a game that we definitely want to win badly”. That changed against the Packers, as Virgil Green and Owen Daniels each caught three passes and combined for 105 yards receiving. “It will get very isolated, but he’ll be a part of what we’re doing”.
“If anything, it settles us down”.
“We really don’t know what to expect”, Broncos safety T.J. Ward said. If he can build off of that, this has all the makings of a blowout on the road for the Broncos. Coming off of the win over the Packers, the Broncos players are hoping they bring the right amount of focus on the struggling Colts accompanied by the same attitude that helped them dominate last Sunday night.
The Broncos can also recall the last meeting between the two teams.
“Even the new guy understands the Broncos winning attitude”. The Broncos will be seeking revenge not only for their early playoff exit in 2014, but also for their quarterback who could lay claim to two more National Football League records with a strong performance against his former team. “I’ve been dreaming about Peyton since I left college”, Davis said after concluding his first practice.
Mile High Report’s own Kyle Montgomery was interviewed by Eric Goodman and Zach Fogg on Mile High Sports’ Afternoon Drive and talked about the Denver Broncos potentially finding themselves in a trap game against the struggling Indianapolis Colts.
