Hillary Clinton Wants Reclassifying Marijuana as Less Dangerous Drug
Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton weighed in on the issue of fatal gun shootings by police during an interview on Friday with Rachel Maddow during a candidate forum.
Asked by Maddow to clarify the worry of a constitutional amendment was discussed privately, if not publicly, Clinton replied, “Yes, yes”. She said there are number of issues the Democrats are not addressing in the South. “I think leadership isn’t about following polls”. “You’ve got to keep fighting for it and you’ve got to keep standing for it”.
Michael Huber, who is also a member of Augusta for Bernie, says “We want to see the money part removed from politics…”
One of the first questions to Sanders was about his ability, coming from the mostly white state of Vermont, to sell his ideas to black Southerners. He’s trailing Clinton badly in the Palmetto State, largely because he hasn’t caught on with the state’s sizable African-American population. “But I think the important thing is that we are now beyond that and my husband has certainly said, and I agree with what he said, that now thankfully we have moved to a stage where marriage equality is the law of the land”. “Extrointrovert”, Clinton answered, saying that she “loves” spending time with people on the campaign trail but she also likes to spend time alone to “think and relax, and sleep, and stuff like that”.
All three candidates delivered messages of economic populism, which they said would be key to strengthening Democratic support in the South and also address the concerns of marginalized populations. “If I had to present myself against him, I gain?”
O’Malley added that while he was “proud” when President Obama got elected, “Senator Sanders was trying to find someone to primary him” in his 2012 reelection bid.
“Do I have disagreements with Barack Obama? I’m the only Democratic candidate without a Super PAC”. I’m not a former Republican. “I’m not a former Republican”. I believe in the party of Franklin Roosevelt, the party of John F. Kennedy. I believe that we’re all in this together and we can make a better future. And I’ve never once rejected the nomination of the Democratic Party. “Nor will I this time”. “Anybody who thinks they can influence what I will do doesn’t know me very well, and they can look at what I have said and done throughout my career”, said Clinton. “I want to be the president for the struggling, the striving and the successful”.
Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Clinton said. “But what the far right did very successfully is to really engender a lot of fear and a lot of anxiety and create this backlash against this ordinance”.
Sanders was asked what his dream job would be if he weren’t a politician, he said he would be president of CNN because the way the media talks about politics would immediately change. Many in a focus group of undecided Democratic women – so-called “Walmart moms”- held in Des Moines this week questioned her trustworthiness and loyalty, describing her as “shady”, “shifty” and “sold out”. Meanwhile, she admittedly dodged a question on which Republican presidential candidate she would pick as her running mate.
Here’s the problem: Bernie Sanders hasn’t taken off any gloves, and didn’t attack Hillary at all.
