NFL’s new ‘Color Rush’ uniforms for ‘Thursday Night Football’ are ridiculous
Well, technically, it won’t be Christmas, but there will be Christmas colors on the field when the Jets host the Bills on November 12.
On Thursday, the NFL unveiled the “Color Rush” uniforms that the Buffalo Bills and the New York Jets will wear for Thursday Night Football next week.
In an NFL campaign titled “Color Rush”, the league tweeted out pictures of the uniforms both teams will wear.
The new color scheme, which is said to be “Kelly Green”, appears to pay homage to the colors the Jets wore from 1963 until 1997, with a lighter shade of the green than the team now wears dominating from head to toe.
New jerseys became a trending topic on twitter under the hashtag #ColorRush. Of course, there’s always the possibility that Nike will realize that they need to rush back to the design room before they outfit the Rams, Buccaneers, Titans, Jaguars, Panthers and Cowboys.
Unfortunately, it’s too late – the uniforms are ready to go to their respective teams.
Keep running till the colors don’t. The uniforms aren’t from the ’80s or ’90s, but they sure do look like they are. Kick off time is 8:25 p.m., with the game airing on the NFL Network.
